Heimerer College – Recruitment Call – Position Title Full-Time Professor of Occupational Therapy


Purpose of the Position

The institution invites applications from highly qualified international academic professionals for the position of Full-Time (declared) Professor of Occupational Therapy. The role strengthens internationalization, enhances teaching excellence, advances curriculum development, and supports research and project-based activities aligned with institutional priorities.

Key Responsibilities

The successful candidate will:

·        Serve as a key academic contributor within the Occupational Therapy study program. Deliver lectures and practical sessions in accordance with the approved curriculum.

·        Provide academic consultation and mentoring to students, both on-site and online as required.

·        Contribute to the development, review, and continuous improvement of curricula and course syllabus.

·        Participate in program accreditation, quality assurance, and evaluation processes.

·        Conduct student assessment and evaluation in line with institutional and academic regulations.

·        Apply innovative, student-centered, and evidence-based teaching methodologies.

·        Report academic activities and progress to the Dean.

·        Conduct a minimum of one (1) research activities or publications per academic year, depending on contract duration.

·        Supervise and mentor BSc and MSc diploma theses.

·        Engage in international, institutional, and externally funded projects relevant to the field of expertise.

·        Develop and provide core teaching and learning materials for assigned modules.

Expected Qualifications

·        PhD or equivalent doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or a closely related field

·        Demonstrated teaching experience in higher education

·        Established research and publication record

·        Experience in curriculum development and quality assurance is an asset

·        International academic or project experience is highly desirable

·        Proficiency in English or German (additional languages are an advantage)

Contractual Conditions and Offer
