PhD Naime BRAJSHORI

Vice-President of Heimerer College
PhD Naime Brajshori is the Dean of the Nursing Program and Vice-President of Heimerer College. Dr. Brajshori is the first nurse with a PhD in Health Sciences and Nursing in Kosovo. She completed her doctoral studies at Martin Luther University in Halle-Wittenberg, Germany. Since 2008, Mrs. Brajshori has been working as a lecturer at the Department of Nursing and Midwifery at the University of Prishtina and has been a coordinator of the Tempus “Insteap” Project which has created the Master’s program called “Healthcare Education” at the Department of Medicine, University of Prishtina. Dr. Brajshori is also the coordinator and one of the founders of the Institute of Southeast Europe for Advancement of Health and Nursing Science, established with the support of DAAD.

Dr Leonora Paice
is a British-Albanian medical doctor and public health specialist. She graduated in Medicine at the University of Tirana. She has worked as a clinician in primary and secondary healthcare in Europe and Africa, including managing the Emergency Department of Rwanda’s leading national hospital. Dr Paice holds a postgraduate certificate accredited by the University of Montreal in Health Administration and Planning and a Masters degree in Public Health from the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine. She has previously worked as Head of the Health Department at Caritas Albania and the UK Government. Dr Paice has been involved in higher education (nursing) since the early 2000s, when she delivered in-service nurses training programmes in Northern Albanian. Before joining Heimerer College in 2018, Dr Paice worked for UNICEF Kosovo, assessing national primary healthcare programmes in Kosovo.
